October 16th: Ecological Bison
with Wes Olson & Johane Janelle
Everyone is invited!

The Plains Bison (Bison bison bison) has been an essential part of the natural history and historical heritage of Buffalo Lake and the surrounding areas.

They have provided an important food source for the indigenous peoples and shaped the ecology of the grasslands and aspen parklands.

Despite their near-extinction by Europeans, the bison have continued to prove to be an integral species for the Great Plains, including the Canadian Prairies, in the ecological impact it has on the land and the other life that resides there.

We will be having our meeting at 7 pm at St. George Anglican Church (Lower Hall) 4817-51 St. in Stettler, AB
