Owl count surveys are done at night and during the spring.

 

This is the best time to count owls as they are busy courting and preparing for nesting. 

​

Owls are also nocturnal creatures where they are most active after dusk. 

​

It's for this reason that we perform surveys between late March and the start of May.

​

We are able to perform these surveys under the direction of a licensed biologist associated with BLNC.
