We had a Mule Deer doe give birth to triplets near our home (out east of Alix) in the spring of 2020. They stayed close by throughout the summer, fall and winter. These four deer--mom and her three little ones--became so tame that they were often seen bedded down right beside the house! We couldn't even chase them away, they were so used to our presence.
The buck also hung around in November and December. We have no idea if he is the sire of the three yearling fawns or not. Very nice to see! Photos of the quartet (including the buck) below.
